Two decades of leadership in the fight against cancer
Since 2005, the MEPs Against Cancer interest group has played a pivotal role in elevating cancer to the top of the EU political agenda. The group frequently organises webinars and events to draw attention to crucial policy initiatives and challenges in the fight to decrease the burden of cancer across Europe.
How to join MEPs Against Cancer
The interest group offers MEPs greater visibility in EU health policy, access to expert knowledge on cancer and public health, and a strong network of stakeholders including cancer societies, patient organisations, and EU decision-makers.
Membership is open to all MEPs elected for the 2024-2029 European Parliament mandate. To join or learn more, contact the MEPs Against Cancer secretariat.
The MEPs Against Cancer secretariat
ECL is honoured to have been appointed by the MEPs Against Cancer interest group to provide secretarial support since 2010.
Members meet on average four times a year with external stakeholders. All meetings and events are hosted by MEPs and organised in cooperation with ECL and other respectable non-profit organisations.
Additionally, the secretariat helps organise internal strategic meetings for MEPs and their parliamentary assistants to discuss objectives, achievements, and future priorities.
